HISTORY
The Diocesan Shrine of Santa Marta, Parish of San Roque, also known as "Pateros Church" of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pasig was established on 1815. It is located in the Municipality of Pateros. The Parish Fiesta is celebrated every 29th day of July for St. Martha and every 16th day of August for St. Roche. St. Martha of Bethany is the patron saint of homemakers, cooks, waiters/waitresses, domestic servants, and hospitality workers while St. Roch of Montpellier is patron saint of dogs, falsely accused people, knee problems, surgeons, and against plague/contagious diseases.
