HISTORY
St. Andrew Cathedral Parish and Diocesan Shrine of Nuestra Señora del Buen Suceso also known as "Parañaque Cathedral" of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Parañaque was established on 1683. It is located in Brgy. La Huerta, City of Parañaque. The Parish Fiesta is celebrated every 30th day of November in honor of St. Andrew the Apostle, patron saint of Scotland, Russia, Romania, Ukraine, Greece, and Amalfi, Italy. He is also the patron saint of fishermen, fish dealers, sailors, boatmen, rope-makers, butchers, singers, spinsters, old maids, women wishing to become mothers, and those with sore throats or gout.
